Health in Seychelles 2025: Care closer to home, ready for tomorrow

In 2025, health in Seychelles was shaped by many factors – from emerging disease threats and climate hazards to supply interruptions and rising costs. Alongside these external pressures, we continue to manage long-running local challenges: dengue and other vector-borne risks, a serious substance-use crisis, and the growing burden of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as heart disease, cancer, high blood pressure and diabetes.
