Mahé ocean murals project concludes with panel discussion

By Anika Cathene

To mark the end of the Mahé Ocean Murals project, a panel discussion was held on Saturday evening at the Seychelles Institute of Teacher Education auditorium, Mont Fleuri.

The project is a public art and marine conservation initiative presented by the Save Our Seas Foundation, with support from the Ministry of Tourism and Culture and the Office of the Mayor, and led by PangeaSeed. It took place across Victoria from March 20 to 30.

The project has brought together local and international artists alongside marine science and conservation partners to create a series of ocean-focused public murals. This has been complemented by a skills development workshop and free community programming for Seychellois creatives and the wider public.
