Seychelles yesterday marked a milestone in education with the launch of the ‘Smart Classroom’ project at Anse Royale secondary school – an initiative designed to modernise teaching and learning through digital innovation.

The project, led by the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development, is part of a broader effort to integrate technology into classrooms and address challenges such as limited teaching resources, shortages of specialised teachers, and the need for equitable access to quality educational materials. The initiative was first conceived two years ago as the ministry explored new solutions to strengthen the education system.
