Poetry competition celebrates young voices and equality |20 June 2026

Jasmine Odhiambo from Anse Royale secondary school emerged as the winner of the International Women’s Day Poetry Competition during a prize-giving ceremony organised by the Ministry of Social Affairs, Family and Equality through the Family and Equality Department. The event was held under the theme ‘Celebrating Voices, Inspiring Equality’.
Second place went to Olivia Moumou, also from Anse Royale secondary school, while Elissa Vidot from Grande Anse Praslin secondary school secured third place.
