Seychelles, IOM strengthen ties on migration and diaspora policy
The Minister for Foreign Affairs & the Diaspora, Barry Faure, on Thursday received the regional director of the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) for Eastern, Horn and Southern Africa, Frantz Celestin, at Maison Quéau de Quinssy.
Mr Celestin, accompanied by Alia Hirji, IOM chief of mission for Mauritius and Seychelles, congratulated the Government and people of Seychelles on the country’s 50th anniversary of Independence.
Minister Faure expressed appreciation for IOM’s longstanding partnership, particularly its support in developing the Seychelles National Diaspora Policy, launched in July 2024.
