English River Health Centre re-opens

The Health Care Services Department of the Ministry of Health informs patients and the public that the English River Health Centre will resume normal services today, Monday, September 21, 2026.

The centre will re-open from 8am to 10pm, with all services operating as usual.

The temporary closure, which occurred on Saturday night, was due to an external burst pipe on a PUC water main. Remedial works have since been successfully completed, allowing the centre to safely resume operations.

The ministry sincerely thanks patients and the public for their patience, cooperation and understanding during this brief disruption.

“We also extend appreciation to our dedicated health care teams who were temporarily relocated to Les Mamelles today (Sunday) to ensure continuity of services,” a press release from the ministry said.

“We look forward to welcoming patients back to English River Health Centre from tomorrow (Monday) morning,” added the press release.
