Hope Foundation receives donation of 10 wheelchairs |16 August 2025

The Hope Foundation has received a heartwarming boost in its mission to help those in need, with a donation of 10 brand new wheelchairs.

The special presentation took place during the foundation’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Saturday August 9, at the Olympic House, Roche Caiman.

The wheelchairs were presented to the foundation by Dr Rubell Brewer, who made the donation on behalf of his son-in-law. Dr Brewer’s son-in-law is the chairman of the Wheelchair Foundation, based in Miami, Florida. He had made the request on behalf of the Hope Foundation, ensuring the much-needed equipment would make its way to Seychelles.

The journey of the wheelchairs was no small feat. Mid-2024, they were shipped to Charleston, and from there, local shipping company Hunt Deltel stepped in, assisting in transporting them to Seychelles at no cost to the foundation.
