SMB's tea gets new attractive packaging |17 August 2004

Vanilla tea bags are now being sold in a yellow 200 gramme packaging, the Island tea bags are in a red 200 gramme packaging and the Green tea bags come in a green 150 gramme packaging.

The prices of the tea, available at the SMB Supermarket and chain of franchises, remain the same with Vanilla Tea at R33.45, Island Tea at R30.60 and Green Tea at R32.50.

SMB has a range of 24 kinds of tea and the company has plans to eventually introduce new packaging for all of them and all its products in general to meet new expectations.
 
Ms Rosaline Hoareau, the Product Manager of the Marketing Section, said the company has introduced new packaging for the three kinds of tea because they were more popular among local consumers.

The packaging, Ms Hoareau said, was more trendy and inviting that even younger people would not be able to resist developing a more ardent taste for tea.
