Judo-Young judokas take to the mat in one-day clinic

The activity, organised by the Seychelles Judo Federation, attracted around 15 participants and was conducted by well-known judokas Gerard Baker and Francis Labrosse.

Baker, silver medallist at the Sixth Indian Ocean Islands Games in Mauritius in 2003, was quite satisfied with both the level of participation and the running of the clinic.

"Everything went on as planned and I am quite satisfied with the level of participation although we were anticipating a better turn-out," said Baker, who added that they are planning to have a similar clinic in April.

As for Labrosse, who participated in last year's Olympic Games in Athens, he is urging all participants who took part in last Saturday's clinic to put into good practice what they have learned.
