SeyGirl by Georges Camille is out |31 October 2005

Seychelles-born drummer, composer and singer Georges Camille kept his promise to produce a new reggae album in his native land.

Georges took the advantage of being here while promoting his new single Seychelles to produce SeyGirl.

The 13-track album is already on the shelves of music outlets here.

The hit single Seychelles, which actually took the locals by storm and which has been making waves here, also features on the album.

Gladness, Only you, Child of God, Love and Manman are just some of the tracks on the album.

While talking about the style of music, Georges said that most of the songs are pop reggae mixed with culture music.

Noting that his songs are about everyday life, Georges said: “The album is about conscious as well as the good and the bad or God and Devil. I have also tried to promote love among people."

It took George about one month to produce the album and it was recorded at Kot Baba.

George will be performing his new tracks tonight at the Pepe Discotheque and next Saturday he will be at Oxygen Nightclub on Praslin.

One-man-band Georges, who is adept at singing while playing drums, has in the past done a lot of music arrangements, especially to works produced by Douglas Parcou and Full Vibes.
