Cable & Wireless lowers local fixed-lines rates |07 April 2006
Following recent rate cuts on Internet dial up, international calls (to 15 popular countries) and mobile across the board, Cable & Wireless has now set its sights on making local calls even more affordable by squeezing it’s peak and off-peak fixed-line rates by up to 20%!
The new call rates are as low as 0.72 cents for three minutes during peak hours and 0.57 cents for three minutes during off-peak.
"When you’re talking minutes, we’re talking cents!," said Margaret Zarine, Manager PSTN, Data & IP Services.
"No matter who you are, if you’re a Cable & Wireless customer, you’re talking to your friends, family and colleagues at some of the lowest call rates this country has to offer! Let’s face it, when a one hour off-peak call costs less than SR12, all you need to do is kick back and relax!"
The new rates took effect on Saturday April 1.
Peak hours for local fixed-line calls are from 7.00 am to 8.00 pm from Monday to Friday, with off-peak being from 8.00 pm to 7.00 am from Monday to Friday, all day Saturday, Sunday and on Public Holidays.
