(Seated L to R) Mr Saleh and Mr Shah after signing the agreements. (Standing L to R) Mr Glenn Osterloh, general manager – Finance & Business Development; Ms Helen Mhadhebi, Group Legal Counsel; and Mr David Thomson – general manager – Corporate AffairsThe first will be on Round Island, situated in the Ste Anne Marine National Park, and the second at the Roche Caiman waterfront.

The signing took place in Dubai on June 26 between the Trinity Group, a Seychellois owned property developer, and Jebel Ali International Hotels, a leading Dubai-based hospitality group.

The agreements were signed by Mr A. J. Shah, the director of Trinity, and Mr Salah Saleh, executive director of corporate services – Dutco Group.

Jebel Ali International Hotels is part of the Dutco Group with interests in construction, petrochemicals, transport and hospitality.

The two properties, Round Island Resort and The Waterfront, will be managed by Jebel Ali International Hotels on behalf of the “Enchanted” brand, a new brand identity from the Seychelles.

The resort will offer 10 individual deluxe private chalets, each complete with a private pool, outdoor decking, gazebo and beach access, as well as a spa. The architectural style is “early twentieth century Creole” and the emphasis is on re-creating the charm and patina of a bygone island era, representatives of the local company said.

The second establishment, The Waterfront, will be located just five minutes away from Victoria, on the Roche Caiman waterfront. The Waterfront will include 40 deluxe rooms, suites and serviced apartments, a private marina and a village comprising a pub and restaurant, a large lifestyle spa, a conference facility, boutiques, art galleries and other retail outlets.

“The architectural style is similar to Round Island and in addition to the natural appeal of Seychelles, visitors to The Waterfront will experience tranquility, rejuvenation and a dash of Creole flavour,” the company’s officials said.

“We are delighted to have this opportunity to manage these two exclusive and prestigious properties in Seychelles. We look forward to expanding our relationship with Enchanted in the future,” said David Thomson, general manager, corporate affairs for Jebel Ali International Hotels.

Mr A. J. Shah, on behalf of Trinity & Enchanted added: “We selected Jebel Ali International Hotels because we felt that they understood what we want to achieve and were able to appreciate and empathise with our vision, not just for these two properties, but for the home-grown Enchanted brand, which we feel will evoke Seychelles in an authentic and organic way. We look forward to a long and close association in the future.”

The spas in both the properties will be managed by Serena Spa, a dedicated spa operator, with a presence in the Maldives, India, Sri Lanka and more recently in Egypt.
