District youths brighten up Les Mamelles crèche |28 July 2007

They did this by painting various cartoon characters on the walls of the crèche building.
The characters, that the children are familiar with and love, include Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and others.

Simon Barra, a Youth Worker in the district, said that the paintings on the walls are the second phase of a project to embellish the building and its surroundings.

In a first phase, greenery and flowers were planted on the crèche’s compound.

The paintings on the walls in the project’s second phase were aimed at bringing more cheer to the environment.
