Bank of Baroda launches internet banking |21 April 2008
The first phase will enable clients to access, view and also print statements of their accounts online on a 24-hour basis.
The second phase will provide online services in requesting bank drafts, banker’s cheques and chequebooks as well as other services such as uploading of salaries, vendor payments and dealer debits while the third phase will cover payment of utility bills and mobile phone banking.
According to the bank’s chief executive, Dr Mohinder Singh Phogat, it has always been Baroda’s goal to provide a pleasant banking experience to its customers through safe, fast and efficient products and services.
He said the bank has been investing heavily in technology during recent years to provide a world-class banking experience to its customers.
The Seychelles branch, which has been fully automated for several years now, was further upgraded to core banking solution status in 2007. Dr Phogat said this has provided a platform to launch several technology-related products and services.
Along with Seychelles, Fiji and Oman are benefiting from the new facilities that Baroda is providing.
