Air Seychelles’ frequent flyers move to new heights |27 February 2010

These changes, which will take effect on Monday March 1, include a revised points system and extra benefits.

Air Seychelles’ frequent flyers earn points on flights when they travel, bringing benefits such as free tickets and excess baggage allowance, or they can be upgraded to Pearl Class.

Under the new and more attractive loyalty programme, members will now find it easier to earn a free ticket and access to the Premium Lounge, as well as to upgrade their tier levels.
The Seychelles Plus Frequent Flyer Programme was launched in 2002 to reward regular travellers, and today it boasts some 19,000 members.

The programme gives a set number of points earned by travelling to and from a scheduled destination on any of Air Seychelles’ international flights.

Seychelles Plus rewards its most loyal members through three different levels of membership – Blue Tier, Silver Tier and Gold Tier. The tier level is determined by the number of points they have earned over a calendar year. Points are valid for two years and expire after this period.

Air Seychelles’ director for marketing and sales Jocelyn Bonnal said the revised points system “is a result of thorough consideration which will now offer a fairer and better programme to all our frequent flyers”.

As from Monday, a member can now earn a free ticket to Mauritius after flying 10 return trips, instead of 30 return trips under the previous programme.

On the Seychelles-London route, a member can now earn a free ticket after eight return trips instead of 10.

Frequent flyer members can now access their account or redeem their points at any Air Seychelles sales point or they can check their account status online by visiting www.airseychelles.com

With its frequent flyers programme revamped to better serve the needs of its loyal customers, Air Seychelles is continuing to look into ways of enhancing its service delivery and bringing a higher level of customer satisfaction.

Seychelles Plus frequent flyers are reminded to keep their contact information updated so they can be kept informed about the changes and new benefits being introduced.
