Bodybuilding-Camille wins Lovenut Grand Prix

CAMILLE – senior Grand Prix championDisplaying great separation and a tight hard midsection, an excellent back and good legs, good overall symmetry and crisp condition on stage at the Lovenut Night Club, Camille, 37, won in front of evergreen Joelaine Valentin – a former winner of the Mr Seychelles and Mr Indian Ocean titles – who is still making progress despite having clocked 50 years.

Camille won R8,000, a cup and a medal, while Valentin took home R5,000, a cup and a medal.

“I will be in a more massive condition come the Mr Seychelles contest,” Camille told Sports Nation.

“To be frank, I did not make any special preparation for the Lovenut Grand Prix, but I have to congratulate Joelaine for the marked improvement made in the last two months,” added Camille, who has won all three competitions organised by the Seychelles Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Federation.

The other six places in the male senior category were occupied by Rodney Henriette (3rd for R3,000), Andrew Siméon (4th for R2,000), Jean-Claude Juliette (5th for R1,500), Gabriel Coeur-de-Lion (6th for R1,000), Michel Labaleine (7th for R1,000) and Roland Knowles (8th for R1,000),

The best junior flex poser was Lynell Hoareau for his second title this year after the Praslin HOAREAU … Junior Grand Prix winnerGrand Prix.
This was Hoareau’s last competition in the junior class as he will compete in the senior division in the Mr Seychelles contest and he has bet on a top-five finish.

“I want to make the top-five in the Mr Seychelles and I know I can do it,” said Hoareau who collected R2,500 for winning the junior category.

Second was Rico Dubignon and third Praslinois Samuel Dorizo and they pocketed R2,000 and R1,500 each.
Travis Victor (fourth), Ragan Rose (fifth) and Kenny Labonté (sixth) won R500 apiece.

The bodybuilders did the seven compulsory poses – front double biceps, front lat spread, back double biceps, back lat spread, abdominal and thighs, side chest and side triceps. They then posed with a piece of music of their choice before going to the pose-down round.
