Historian Kantilal Jivan Shah dies |22 October 2010
Mr Shah – whose knowledge of Seychelles made him a reference person – is said to have been a guru.
He was also a famous palmist, renowned vegetarian cook, photographer, artist, sculptor and agronomist.
He has been featured in many newspaper and magazine articles, as well as radio and television programmes around the world.
Mr Shah ran an export and import business on the corner of Market Street and Albert Street, established by his father in 1895.
He was a vegetarian who never smoked or took alcohol.
