Football-Coach Morrison to appear before SFF executive committee today |14 December 2010
Speaking to Sports Nation, SFF boss Suketu Patel said a decision regarding the matter will be taken after coach Morrison has explained himself on the matter.
“We cannot judge anyone before he gets the chance to clarify his position. But what is certain is that if it turns out that he has misled us, action will be taken against him,” said Mr Patel.
When he met the media yesterday at Maison Football, coach Morrison did not want to answer any question either on this issue or the under-20 team’s recent involvement in the Metropolitan Council of Southern Africa Football Association (Cosafa) Youth Championship in Gaborone, Botswana.
The team lost their two group D matches, 2-0 to Mozambique and 5-0 to Madagascar.
In its Thursday December 9 issue, the Northwich Guardian newspaper in the north of England wrote that the Andy Morrison who was an ex-Manchester City fans’ favourite is now the assistant manager at Northwich Victoria, who play in non-league football’s third tier in England.
This means that Andrew Amers Morrison is not the former professional footballer the Seychelles Football Federation (SFF) originally thought it had landed to coach the country’s national team.
Andrew Amers Morrison has taught underprivileged children to play football at his own Samba Street Soccer school in London since 2005.
