Seychelles signs tax data exchange agreements with Nordic Alliance |09 April 2011
The signing, which took place at the Swedish embassy in Paris on March 30, is in line with efforts to maintain the country’s good standing with the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).
The agreement was signed on behalf of Seychelles by ambassador Claude Morel and on behalf of the Nordic alliance by their respective ambassadors based in Paris.
“The signing of this agreement will bring our TIEA network to a total of eight and further strengthen the existing cooperation that has been established in our financial services sectors,” says a communiqué from the Ministry of Finance.
The agreements provide for certainty with regard to taxes payable on incomes generated from investments made between the eight countries.
It also provides an inducement to nationals of all eight countries to focus their attention on increasing trade, investment and employment opportunities.
