Clementina Agricole wins silver medal

Clementina Agricole is the 58kg weight class silver medallist at the Commonwealth Weightlifting Championship in Penang, Malaysia.

Agricole finished with an Olympic total of 190kg (85kg in snatch and 105kg in clean and jerk) to claim the silver medal behind the gold medallist from Nigeria.

Competing in the same weight category, Ruby Malvina was ranked 10th with 161kg, while Romentha Larue finished with 116kg (53kg in snatch and 63kg in clean and jerk) to be ranked fifth among the juniors and fourth in the youth division.

In October 2009 in Penang, Malaysia, Agricole won the women’s senior 53kg category Commonwealth Weightlifting Championships gold medal – the country’s first ever – after finishing with an Olympic total of 177kg (77kg in snatch and 100kg in clean and jerk).
