Mobile banking now possible with Barclays |28 March 2014

Barclays has launched its Mobile Banking app, allowing customers with busy lives to conveniently do their banking using their smartphones and tablets anytime.

Customers can download the free Barclays Mobile Banking app on their iOS (iPad, iPhone and iPod) and Android devices from App Store or Play Store by searching for ‘Barclays Seychelles’.

To transact on the Mobile Banking app, the users are required to be registered for online banking.

Mobile Banking, similar to online banking, is very secure, requiring entry of the customer’s online banking username and password as well as the one time password sent to their mobile phone.

Commenting on the new service offered by Barclays Seychelles, managing director, Rakesh Jha, said: “Such innovations are changing the shape of banking in Africa and Barclays is proud to be at the forefront of innovation.

“Mobile Banking is another addition to our growing suite of digital banking solutions aimed at providing our customers with a more convenient banking experience.”
