New association to further boost Seychelles-China ties |21 July 2014

A new association set up voluntarily by Chinese living in Seychelles has been officially launched.

It is called the Seychelles-China Trade and Business Promotion Association.

It consists of economic entities of local enterprises in Seychelles in various types of production and in management.

It is a non-profit and comprehensive organisation with a legal entity based on the principle of joining involuntary self-service of selecting leaders, recruiting membership, raising funds and dealing with business.

It also carries out self-management, self-service, self-adjustment, self-discipline and self-educating.

The association plans to spread Chinese culture; promote the  achievements since the reform  and opening up in China and further strengthen the communication and cooperation between  Seychelles  and  China  in  the  fields  of  economy, science and technology, education, culture, hygiene, tourism and business trade.

It will also serve to attract business investments and enhance friendship between Seychelles and China.

It will forge closer connection between the council members and the people from different  fields of society of the two countries as well as offer the council members useful information for cooperation in various fields; accelerate cooperation  between the council members and the enterprises at home and  abroad in order to raise up their reputation; explore the  international market for  the council  members and groups through varied economic, trade activities and study  visits.

The members are overseas Chinese in Seychelles and some excellent and talented  Seychellois specialists in different fields. There will definitely be exchanges where the international market for the council members will be explored.

Since its setting up the association has already received congratulatory messages from sister associations overseas on their new establishment here in Seychelles.
