Money awards call for solutions |16 February 2015

 

 

 

Seychelles’ founding President James R. Mancham, who is an international ambassador for the Ocean Exchange, has announced that the Ocean Exchange ‘Call for Solutions’ is now open for registration by parties worldwide who are interested to compete for the Gulfstream Navigator Award of US $100,000 and the WWL Orcelle Award also of US $100,000.

The Gulfstream Navigator Award is given to the solution that best demonstrates the greatest potential to accelerate sustainability with applicability across multiple industries generating positive impact on the environment, economies or health while respecting cultures around the world.

The WWW Orcelle Award is given to the solution that makes shipping and logistic more sustainable by advancing zero emission, marine and/or land-based technologies that are commercially viable.

Mr Mancham said that deadline for registration is May 17, 2015 by 11.59pm. If selected among the best 10 submitted solutions, the party would be expected to make presentation of their solution in Savannah, Georgia, USA, during the dates of the Exchange which have been fixed for October 11-13, 2015.

The Ocean Exchange event will be held at the Savannah International Trade and Convention Centre and its worldwide sponsors include Gulf Stream Aerospace Corporation and Wannenius Wilhelmsen Logistics.
