Space 95 donates to Seychelles Children’s Foundation |24 August 2015
The Seychelles Children’s Foundation (SCF) has received a cheque for R18,700 from Space 95, proceeds it collected through entertainment provided by a giant rocket slide it put in place during the recent three-day National Show organised for the National Day.
Space 95 sales and marketing manager Ana-Maria Suzette presented the cheque to SCF director Jules Hoareau during a short ceremony at the President’s Village Children’s Home at Port Glaud on Saturday afternoon.
During the ceremony SCF also launched its new innovative web site which has been sponsored by Space 95 and Kokonet.
Present to witness the event were the managing director of Space 95 Bernard Moutia, other representatives of the company, as well as those from Kokonet, children from the village, staff as well as other members of the SCF.
Speaking after the presentation Ms Suzette expressed the pride of her company to be able to contribute to such a good cause.
“I would like to thank all the members of Space 95 who have worked hard to make this donation possible, and today we are honoured to hand over the cheque to the SCF which will no doubt have a positive impact on the lives of many children,” Ms Suzette pointed out.
Thanking Space 95 for the generous gesture Mr Hoareau said it will be used to continue improving the lives of children living in the homes.
“We are always grateful and appreciate such donations. The money will benefit many young children and will make a significant difference in the quality of life the homes offer,” Mr Hoareau said.
Following the cheque presentation the SCF presented and launched their new innovative website which has also been sponsored by Space 95 as well as Kokonet.
The cartoon character Jojo, Mr Hoareau and a representative of Space 95 had the honour to launch the new website.
A person who wants to make a donation to the SCF can now do it through the new website where they can pay directly with PayPal.
To make the ceremony a special one for the kids, Space 95 brought along the giant rocket slide to entertain the children.
