Minister St Ange meets Mozambican counterpart on the sidelines of the UNWTO General Assembly in Colombia |25 September 2015
Silva Armando Dunduro, the Minister for Culture and Tourism of the Mozambique and Minister Alain St Ange, the Minister for Tourism and Culture of Seychelles made time to meet formally in Colombia where they were both attending the 21st UNWTO General Assembly.
This was the first meeting between the two tourism ministers since Minister Silva Armando Dunduro took office recently following general elections in Mozambique that was followed by a Cabinet reshuffle.
Mozambique and Seychelles is already cooperating in the field of tourism and both countries form part of the East3Route tourism programme together with South Africa KwaZulu Natal and the Kingdom of Swaziland.
“Both Seychelles and Mozambique continue to work for the benefit of our people through the East3Route tourism programme. This grass roots programme is empowering the people of these four countries to see tourism as their industry as they are encouraged to get involved in their respective countries tourism," said Minister St Ange.
Recently Seychelles hosted the East3Route Investment Forum and Mozambique was represented by its finance minister.
Ministers Dunduro and St Ange are set to meet again at the next East3Route programme that will see their tourism ministers meet in Mozambique, Swaziland and KwaZulu Natal of South Africa.
