SPF’s multi-storey car park almost completed |11 January 2016

Work on the multi-storey car park built on the plot of land adjacent to Unity House is almost completed and the facility is expected to open soon.

In fact, Unity House is phase one of the project and the second is the multi-storey car park. Both projects have been funded by the Seychelles Pension Fund (SPF).

When President James Michel inaugurated the new R210 million Unity House in November 2012, former SPF’s board of trustees chairperson Sitna Cesar told those present that the multi-storey car park will have 50 parking slots on each floor; that is ground plus two floors and office space of 3,420sqm on the third and fourth floors.

She added that the car park will eventually address the parking needs of Unity House and the vicinity.

Despite trying, Seychelles NATION was unable to get updates on the project from the SPF, but we are sure that motorists will be delighted to see the long-awaited car park become fully operational and enjoy the improved parking experience as demand for parking space often grows quickly, significantly and unexpectedly.
