Kyokushinkai finishes as top school

The Inter-school karate championship took place last weekend at the Roche Caïman Dojo where various fighting styles clashed with one aiming to be the best.

It was the school of Kyokushinkai who finished as the best overall school ahead of second-placed Kimura Shukokai, while Northern Tang Soo Do and Joshinmon Shorin-Ryu were joint third.

Next up for local karatekas is the National Championship which will take place on July 6.

Both kata (forms) and kumite (fighting) events were on the day’s programme and we publish the results from each event.
