Changing the face of casinos in Seychelles |04 November 2016

Alain St Ange, the Seychelles Minister for Tourism, Civil Aviation, Ports and Marine, recently inaugurated the new Club Liberté Casino located adjacent to the Four Seasons Resort at Petite Anse, Seychelles.

Club Liberté is an entertainment centre offering gaming, live entertainment, light meals and bar service.

The main casino gaming floor offers four single zero roulette, two poker and three blackjack tables, plus a unique and exclusive VIP gaming room offering roulette, blackjack and punto banco or poker.

Thirty-one of the latest electronic gaming machines are available and include the most popular reel and video slots, all linked to a loyalty card and mystery jackpot system.

The Club Liberté is not just gaming; it also proposes a glamorous cocktail bar, a sushi bar – ‘food as entertainment’, and a quality restaurant.

Guests can enjoy live music and other entertainment while they relax and enjoy their visit to the Club Liberté.

Minister St Ange, who was accompanied by his principal secretary for tourism Anne Lafortune, were joined by Jake Walker, the managing director of the establishment at the inauguration ceremony.

The minister said the Club Liberté Casino provides yet another reason for visitors to travel to Seychelles today.

“Casino gambling is currently being asked by some of our tourism source markets. This is why it is now listed as one of our USPs (unique selling points). We are delighted to see this latest addition at the Four Seasons Resort and wish it success. We are sure that Seychellois and visitors will all enjoy this new facility,” the minister said.

“Seychelles already has a high percentage of quality visitors from the Middle East and the Gulf States – Dubai is only a direct four-hour flight from the Seychelles – and this will be one of the main target areas for the marketing of this new casino. When the owners were looking for a management company for the new casino, they took the decision not to approach the usual operators of such casinos, but to look for a smaller company who would have the interest to dedicate to this casino, and they brought in New World Gaming. New World Gaming is a co-operative gaming consultancy, headed by managing director Jake Waller, that brings fresh and innovative management ideas and services to the casino industry backed by the experience and expertise gained and developed at top-class international operations,” a representative of the new facility said.

For his part Mr Waller said: “We will break the mould of casinos in the Seychelles to satisfy the demands of the owners. This will be the benchmark casino for New World Gaming.”
