ANB communiqué - ANB officers seize suspected cannabis and heroin at pensioner’s house |13 November 2017
Officers of the Anti-Narcotics Bureau (ANB) within the Seychelles Police Department, yesterday morning arrested an 85-year-old female pensioner and later arrested her 48-year-old carer both for possession a controlled drug.
The ANB officers made the arrest after they searched and found a significant quantity of suspected compressed herbal cannabis and suspected heroin inside the house of the pensioner at La Louise. A machete and a sum of R10,000 in hundred rupee notes were also seized at her house as exhibits.
The ANB officer questioned the pensioner through a statement form at her house and after that released her, whereas her carer is still under the custody of the ANB officers as the investigation continues in this case.
