Accompanied by Seychelles Basketball Federation (SBF) chairman Terry Celeste, he was at the International School of Seychelles (ISS) on Monday afternoon.
Sports NATION was present for the meeting and coach Barchovski explained that his main goal is to teach the kids about the game of basketball.
“Many different aspects come into play in basketball, whether it’s strategically or physically. The idea is to make students aware of the possibilities that come along with playing basketball and their benefits,” said coach Barchovski.
Developing the youth is the key objective of coach Barchovski who will also stress on the re-organisation of the game of basketball to the students.
Coach Barchovski visited schools in south Mahé yesterday and he will also be going to Praslin and La Digue.
At the end of his three-week stay, coach Barchovski will leave Seychelles before coming back on another assignment later during the year as the SBF is benefiting from a nine-month programme with Fiba. An American expert is also expected to visit Seychelles later this year.
