He was accompanied by the director general for disease prevention and control Dr Jude Gedeon for the meeting which will be held between July 11 and 16.
The conference will take place under the theme “Access for all” which the ministry said reflects the need for all groups from all levels and from all fields to have access to resources – be it in education, information or medication – in the in fight against HIV/Aids.
The conference is being organised by the International Aids Society (IAS) in collaboration with the Thai Ministry of Public Health, UNAIDS and other international organisations.
Delegates, who comprise policy makers, researchers, non-governmental organisations and people living with HIV/Aids, will deliberate on issues pertaining to policies, programme implementation, prevention, treatment and care amongst other issues.
The two delegates from Seychelles said they see the conference as an excellent opportunity to share this country's experiences with counterparts from other nations and to learn about recent advances in the battle against HIV/Aids.
Making contacts with resources organisations and agencies is also on the working agenda of the Seychellois delegates, the Ministry of Health said Tuesday.
