Hundreds killed in hostage crisis in Beslan, Russia-President Michel sends condolences to Russian President |06 September 2004

President Michel's message reads:
"The tragic end to the hostage crisis in Beslan has profoundly saddened and shocked us.

That so many innocent people, especially children, should have lost their lives in such a barbaric manner is revolting beyond words.

"We share your grief. The government and people of Seychelles condemn in the strongest of terms this monstrous crime and assure you of their solidarity in your mourning, as well as in the fight against terrorism.

"Our thoughts are with the victims and their loved ones. Please convey to them our deepest condolences and sympathies."
