Cable rewards SMS Fun Quiz winners |25 January 2005

She received her prize, an Alcatel 332 mobile phone with coloured screen, from the company 's chief executive officer, Mr Usman Saadat, in a short presentation ceremony held at the Exile Club on  Monday afternoon.

Miss Fanchette is the lucky customer who got the correct answer to a multiple choice question about the real name of the comedian in Fresh Prince of Bel Air. The correct answer was Will Smith.

Miss Fanchette was among some other 2,000 customers who SMS the correct answer  and whose names were automatically entered for the draw. Altogether the company received over 7,000 SMS, as customers were encouraged to send as many SMS for the correct answer as they could to increase their chances of winning.

The second prize, a full year’s supply of soft drinks, went to Betty May Leon, whereas Vincent Padayachy, who was among the participants to send more than one SMS,  won 12 Deepam Cinema movie tickets, after his name was picked more than once. 15 other consolation prizes which are also exchangeable for Deepam movie tickets, were also presented to other winners.
