World Table Tennis Championships-Six players off to Zagreb today |18 May 2007

The six players, who are accompanied by coach Peter Youpa, are Janice Esparon, Maria Laure, Anissa Benstrong, Godfrey Sultan, Archille Dodin and Garry Elizabeth.

Also making the trip to Zagreb is Seychelles Table Tennis Association (STTA) chairman Francis Remie, who will attend the ITTF (International Table Tennis Federation) annual general meeting which will take place on Wednesday May 23.

The 2007 World Table Tennis Championships will be organised by the Croatian Table Tennis Association (CTTA), with the support of the City of Zagreb and the Zagreb Sports Association, under the auspices and authority of the International Table Tennis Federation.

It is to note that four of the players on the Seychelles team, namely Janice Esparon, Anissa Benstrong, Godfrey Sultan and Garry Elizabeth, participated in a recent training camp in China. They were accompanied by coach Peter Youpa.

The delegation is expected back from the World Championships on May 27.
