Academy yields second cohort of beauticians |07 December 2007
As they brightened the evening for their parents, friends and other relatives, who received them with applause, the girls then went on to receive their qualifying papers which say they now have skills to offer cosmetic services such as pedicure, manicure, massage, facial and eye “treatment.”
Well-known and budding musicians entertained the audience, as the girls became the institution’s second cohort to graduate, the first having qualified in August last year.
Vanessa Williams was awarded for excellence during her studies, while Wanita Pillay was declared the “Student of the year.”
The other five graduates are Stephanie Latulippe, Ketseen Commettant, Debie Antoine, Ena Radegonde and Christina Micock.
Congratulating all of them, Mrs Morin commended the graduates for having worked hard so as to realise the goal of completing their studies successfully, in the process making their parents proud.
