Coral Strand rewards best workers, launches new a-la-carte menu |23 February 2008
The occasion was also timely to introduce members of the hotel’s new management and social committee personnel to employees, as well as reveal plans to launch a new a-la-carte menu for its Mahek Restaurant as of March 1.
The luncheon was attended by the newest members of the hotels’ management, notably the Financial Director Denis Verkhotubov, and Coral Strand’s new General Manager, Grisele Camille, formerly of Fisherman’s Cove.
Also present were representatives of the Seychelles Tourism Board (STB).
Those rewarded included workers who on no account failed to attend work throughout the whole of 2007. They received certificates.
From the group, Norcy Melanie and Rina Jean-Louis were chosen as the ‘Best’ and ‘Overall Best’ worker for last year. They each received certificates plus SR500, and a return ticket to Russia, where they are to be lodged for a week on full board in one of Savoy’s branch hotels.
The two winners, along with other staff, then enjoyed a feast, specially prepared for the day, as members of the media were invited to savour the new specialty of the a-la-carte menu from the hotel’s Mahek restaurant.
The executive chef of the restaurant, Garina Parkash, said that when the new menu is launched as of next month, Mahek will be the only restaurant locally to serve steaming sizzlers dishes, which is a concept of serving meals on a hot plate.
