Creole Travel Services recognized for service cruise ships |29 March 2008
Published by CCL Marine, a subsidiary of Euromoney Institutional Investor PLC in the USA,the magazine is a guide to new and traditional cruise destinations, providing valuable information on ports throughout the world. It also keeps a watchful eye on developments in the market for creative new cruise packages and themes.
Every year the magazine recognizes excellence in the industry by presenting annual
awards to cruise destinations in several categories.
For 2007, CTS was among the frontrunners of the awards, receiving commendation in the category Best Destination Experience – Organized Tours; Service
Companies – and recognized for outstanding service to passengers, crew or ships.
The accolade was revealed to marketing manager Derek Savy and Rose Petit,
Groups & Cruise Ships manager, whilst they attended the Seatrade Cruise Shipping
Convention held in the US city of Miami from March 15 to 17.
The commendation came as a pleasant surprise and confirmation of achievement for
Creole Travel Services for their unsurpassed excellence in customer service and
destination management.
Rose Petit advises that 2008 kicked off with a leap in incentive groups and cruise lines
visiting our shores.
In January CTS entertained numerous partners in the islands for site inspections, all of
whom went away convinced about the destination’s potential to cater to their
markets. The Seychelles Islands are so diverse that there is something for everyone’s
taste.
The Groups and Incentives department worked very hard in 2007 to lay the foundation
establishing the Seychelles as a highly desirable destination – and it looks as though
those efforts have succeeded, as we have a record of over 25 incentive groups
confirmed in just the first quarter of 2008 and we are expecting a continual and steady
increase.
Our regular cruise ships season started in December 2007 and will continue until the end
of March 2008. Ships MS Columbus with 400 passengers, Costa Marina with 750 and
Royal Star which carries 200, all enjoy the ground handling services of Creole Travel
Services. Our experienced Groups department are extremely adept at handling large
volumes of passengers and constantly deliver the same professional and superior
service to each and every individual of the group. The meticulous and complex
coordination practised by the Group’s department ensures smooth operations at every
ship call.
“CTS is trying very hard to bring in more and more business to the Seychelles, providing
benefit for all Seychellois, and as the largest DMC in the Seychelles it is up to CTS to set the standards and lead the way in superior destination promotion and management.
“Recognition such as this inspires the CTS management and staff to achieve even
greater heights of service and product innovation and also strengthens their
commitment to offering the most elite services for cruise lines visiting Seychelles,” the company’s management said.
