In the Ladies’ class, Debra Mellon took maximum points last Sunday and has now moved to fifth place on the table, while young Diane Alvis finished second to extend her lead at the top to 345 points.

She has 32 points more than second-placed Marie Lucy Sullivan (313 points), who missed the last round. Bernadette Mein took her first win in race two and also had two third places to move to fourth overall with 232 points. Mitra Labrosse occupies third position with 282 points after taking a third place and two fourth positions.

In the Junior class, Franchisco Thiroomooldy closed up on series leader Andrew Gabriel with two first places and a second to bring his points tally to 389.

Andrew Gabriel twice finished second and once third to lead the table with 392 points. Andrew’s twin brother Yannick took a win, a second place and a fourth position to move to third in the championship standings with 371 points.

Diane Alvis leads the Ladies’ class

Diane Alvis took a third place and a fourth after she had dropped out of race one to hold on to fourth position with 300 points.

With just three points separating Andrew Gabriel and Franchisco Thiroomooldy, it is likely that one of them will be the champion.

Thiroomooldy has been in this position before and knows what it takes to claim the title, but in motor sport anything can happen and nothing is certain until the chequered flag comes down to end the race.

Guest drivers in the Formula C class Dave Rene and Peter Fred took two wins and one respectively. However, Formula C driver Dane Decomarmond collected enough points to extend his lead in the standings to 163 points after finishing third once and fourth twice.

Trevor Hoareau is second with 140 points. The SKA team have moved up to third with 132 points.

In Formula A, Dave Rene took three more wins to extend his lead to 371 points, while John Simon finished second twice and third once to bring his points tally to 244.

Simon remains third on the table behind runner-up Marc Delcy, who finished third on the day to take his points tally to 249.  Stephan Simon is fourth with 213 points and Peter Fred is fifth (113 points).

With a 122-point lead over runner-up Delcy, it is almost certain that Rene will win another FA title. But the battle for the runner-up spot will be fierce between Simon and Delcy.
