Bodybuilding-Flex posers to compete in Night of the Champions contest |17 December 2009
Seychelles Amateur Bodybuilding Association (Sabba) chairman Mohan Chetty said the contest will be of a high standard.
“Sunday’s contest promises a lot of quality posing. We will see in action the five contestants who competed in the first world amateur men's bodybuilding championships organised by the World Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Federation in November in Dubai,” he said.
“You won’t regret coming to the show.”
The flex show will start at 6pm, and tickets cost R75 for adults and R25 for children under 12 years old.
On show will be Ziad Al Adou Mekdachi, who finished fifth out of 11 posers in the heavyweight (under-100kg) category of the inaugural world amateur men's bodybuilding championships, Jacques-Alain Hoareau (ninth out of 15 in the 70kg), Joelen Valentin (ninth out of 15 in the 80kg category), Fabien Antat (11th out of 15 in the 85kg category) and Nano Camille (seventh out of eight in the 90kg category).
Pierre Servina, Gabriel Coeur-de-Lion, Jim Clarisse, Rodney Henriette, Cyril Rabat, Mathieu Suzette, Lynell Hoareau and Antoine Rachel are also expected to take the stage to flex their muscles for the top prize of R10,000.
The runner-up will get R7,000, third place finisher R5,000, fourth place R3,000 and fifth place R2,000.
All the other competitors who finish below fifth place will get R1,000.
There will be medals for the top three bodybuilders and shields for all competitors.
It remains to be seen if Mekdachi can win a fourth contest this year after winning the Sabba Open, Mr Regatta and Mr Seychelles titles earlier in the season.
