US embassy introduces new online visa application form |27 April 2010

“The DS-160 web-based NIV application incorporates all previous applications into one interactive, paperless, online form called the Consular Electronic Application Center (CEAC),” says a communiqué from the US embassy in Port Louis.

The visa process remains the same (fill out online application, schedule interview, pay the visa application fee any time prior to the interview and interview at the US embassy).

The only change is that the application is now an interactive, online form which new applicants requesting a non-immigrant visa appointment will be required to use starting tomorrow.

Persons already having appointments will not be required to complete a new form.
