Hindu Council pays homage to victims of plane crash and train accident in India |31 May 2010
The condolence meeting, held at the prayer hall of Allied Builders at Providence, included chanting of Bhajans, devotional songs and quotes from Bhagavad Gita, the Hindu holy book. The council’s secretary, Mrs Murthy, welcomed the gathering which was well attended by many dignitaries including the high commissioner of India, Asit Kumar Nag, Justice Karunakaran, N. Ramani, zonal chairman of the Lions Club, among others.
The speakers, including the chairman of the council Pravin Darad, paid homage to the deceased passengers and shared the grief of the victims’ family members.
Vice-chairman Rajasundaram delivered the vote of thanks.
