Seychelles in focus at Singapore travel fair |28 August 2010
Held annually, Natas is Singapore’s largest travel event; it opened yesterday and will close tomorrow.
Seychelles is represented by the manager of the Seychelles Tourism Office in Singapore, Myrna Michel, along with representatives from Air Seychelles, Desroches Island, the Castello Beach Hotel, the Elite Club and the Coral Strand Hotel.
The number of Singaporeans travelling overseas has been on the increase over the last few years, and the Seychelles delegates will be capitalising on this trend while at the fair, enticing as many people as possible to visit our islands.
Complementing the work of our tourism representatives was an article on Seychelles published in the Straits Times on August 26, just the right time for Natas. This newspaper is one of the most widely read in the region with a circulation of 1.3 million.
The article was written by Leong Phei Phei, who was in Seychelles in June, and covers many of the country’s attributes that will surely pique the interest of the Singaporean market, as well as other regions in the Far East.
