Seychelles hosts Miss Bikini catalogue shoot |29 January 2011

The shoot brought two famous models to Seychelles – Lola Ponce from Argentina and Carolina Piovani from Brazil.
The supermodels posed on world-rated beaches around Seychelles – Port Launay, Anse Source d’Argent, Intendance and Takamaka – in the bikinis and beachwear that will make a hit this year.

Lola is a well-known singer and actress who earned big-time exposure after featuring in the recent Notre Dame de Paris musical. She is also a model for Miss Bikini.

The Seychelles Tourism Board (STB) said it was no coincidence that the photo shoot was done in such a beautiful location as Miss Bikini will be celebrating its 20th anniversary this year and wanted a unique place to mark the achievement.
The 14-strong crew were in Seychelles for one week, leaving on Monday January 24, while the two models left after their shoot was over to attend other assignments in Europe.

The STB’s regional manager for Italy, Monette Rose, as well as a representative of Air Seychelles in Italy, accompanied the group on this trip.

The other partners in this important project were the Constance Ephelia Resort and Select Seychelles, who provided accommodation and transfers.

During the assignment, the STB hosted the crew to dinner at the Ephelia where the board’s chief executive Alain St Ange thanked them for choosing the islands for this very important shoot, which will help to promote the destination in Europe.

Ms Rose said the publicity Seychelles will earn from this project will be massive as the destination will be credited in over 100,000 Miss Bikini catalogues that will be distributed in Italy and all over Europe.

Moreover, the backstage video will show the two local partners as it will trace the models’ arrival in Seychelles and their stay. The video will be put up on the official Miss Bikini website, which has a high worldwide visibility.
