Seychellois no longer need visas to travel to Nigeria |06 April 2011

This took effect on February 11, 2011 upon recommendations of the high commissioner and the tripartite committee set up by Dr Goodluck E. Jonathan in January 2011 to consider such a request from the government of Seychelles.

It is also in return to the same gesture which the government of Seychelles has extended to Nigerian citizens since 1987.

“The federal government of Nigeria is convinced that the abolition of visa requirements would strengthen relations between Nigeria and Seychelles and forge closer ties between the peoples of the two countries,” says a statement from the high commission of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in Nairobi to Seychelles’ Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
