Three Seychellois held in Egypt on suspicion of drug trafficking |26 May 2011
The men were detained with a number of others on April 22, 2011 after they were encountered in Egyptian waters in a sailing craft that was found on inspection to contain a large consignment of illegal drugs.
The men are being held in a prison in the city of Quna, which is located some 250 kilometres south of the capital, Cairo, pending their next court appearance, scheduled for mid June.
The NDEA says details of the identities of the three men are being withheld until their families are notified.
