National Assembly-Proportionately elected members announced |11 October 2011

This is pursuant to paragraph 4 of Schedule 4 of the Constitution of the Republic of Seychelles.

The Parti Lepep, which won all 25 directly elected and six proportionate seats in the September 29 – October 1 election, has nominated Mitcy, Marise, Therese Larue; Andre, Louis, Bernard Pool;  Patrick, Antonio, Mathew Herminie; Marie-Antoinette, Zitane Rose; Sebastien, Alix Pillay; and Marie-Louise, Cecile Potter as its proportionally elected members.

The Popular Democratic Movement (PDM), the only other party contesting the election, did not win any seat, a matter which has been brought before the Constitutional Court by its leader David Pierre.

Hearing of this case has been set for October 18.
