Lone children barred from Boardwalk bar and café |31 August 2012
“Following reports received by the SLA and the police as well as complaints from management of Boardwalk bar and café, the SLA has – in collaboration with the Boardwalk’s management – moved in to disallow entrance to children under 18 years into its bar lounge,” said the authority in a press release yesterday.
“Under aged children may only be allowed to enter the cafe on the premise if accompanied by adults and entrance will be restricted to the sitting area licensed as a cafeteria and not inside the public bar at any time whether accompanied or not. Entrance to licensed public bars is restricted by law only to persons aged 18 years and above.”
The SLA said it has also requested that the Boardwalk should maintain the level of music played in accordance with the law governing noise pollution.
