Agency for Social Protection to launch new website |05 February 2014
The Agency for Social Protection (ASP) will officially launch its new website –www.aspseychelles.sc – on Monday February 10, 2014 at 10am at its headquarters at the Oceangate House.
Being a communication tool which is widely used to spread information about organisations, the agency based in room 112 at the Oceangate House has found it necessary to design and launch its own website.
According to a communiqué from the ASP, the website will allow members of the public, its partners and other government entities as well as private organisations and its clients to learn more about the ASP and the services that it offers.
It is also a platform where people can find all required information and other details relating to the various benefits provided by the ASP as well as information on welfare and homecare help.
The new increase in the social security benefits rates as well as home carers allowance which was announced last year in the budget address, have also been published on this site along with other news and press releases relating to the agency.
The ASP has said it will ensure that the website remains dynamic so that members of the public can get as much up-to-date information as possible.
ASP chief executive Wallace Cosgrow said the setting up of the agency’s website is further testament of the relentless work being undertaken to get its services closer to the people and its partners.
“While the website will act as the interface between the agency and users of its services, it should also ease the sharing of information and serve as a useful platform to conduct official matters in a faster and more effective way,” he added.
Mr Cosgrow said: “The agency is very proud to launch this new website and we are looking forward to the many more opportunities to improve our services.”
