Kenya Airways Seychelles rewards DMCs |03 June 2014
Kenya Airways has rewarded all the destination management companies (DMC) in Seychelles that have helped the airline achieve the success it is enjoying today.
The awards covered the period 2011-2013.
Certificates of appreciation where awarded to Ocean Air travel and Harini Air travel for the years 2012-2013 to 2013-2014.
Awards were then given to Kenya Airway's best DMCs for the three years. Seashell Travel clinched the award for best agent, followed by Mason’s Air Travel, Bunson Travel and Creole Air Travel in second, third and fourth places respectively.
During the event, country manager for Seychelles and the Indian Ocean Islands, Zakiya Vidot, took the opportunity to announce that the new Kenya Airways Dreamliner 787 will start flying to Paris on June 6 this year. This is the aircraft which will be doing the long haul flights for the airline.
Kenya Airways currently has four flights per week to Seychelles – on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday – which can easily connect with the Paris flights. For this reason three more aircraft will be added to the fleet this year.
Ms Vidot added that in the next years there should be nine more 787 aircrafts added to the fleet. The number of 777 aircraft will also be increased.
