100% Seychellroi show |07 August 2014

As pure Seychellois as it can get!

The show organised on Saturday by Cable Tunes Cable & Wireless Seychelles (CWS) in collaboration with the ISPC lived up to its billing ‘100% Seychellroi’ as it gave its audience nothing but pure Seychellois talent to appreciate.

The mini stadium in Victoria where the show was held was packed and one might say that it was difficult to find an empty space to stand-alone without bumping into another person.

The three main artists performing that night were no other than the famous brothers Elijah and Mercenary, and Jahkim. Apart from the three, the audience saw performances from 20 other artists including Cusmun, Sandra, Ion Kid, among others.

Most of the artists sang live accompanied by the Warrior Band and Paradise Band.
Speaking to Seychelles Nation, Albert Buntan from CWS said: “This show is among the best organised here in Seychelles. The set-up of the stage, the sound system and the lights all contributed to giving the audience a show worth their money.”

“The performances were at such a high level that everyone who came enjoyed themselves. We at the CWS are very satisfied the way the show went on,” Mr Buntan added.

All those who bought a ticket to the show automatically entered in a draw as each of the tickets carried a number. The draw was duly held and the winners will receive their prizes in a separate ceremony that the lottery sponsor ISPC will organise.

With the flowing vibes, fans shouting and screaming, we neverthelles managed to get a few comments from some people in the audience:

“I am a big Jahkim fan, I am enjoying myself to the max. But I wish that such activities could be done more frequently where we can appreciate our local artists. Compared to the ICCS auditorium, here we are free to walk around and dance when we so wish,” a lady said. “The light displays are so amazing, the way they move with the beats, it’s the best show ever,” according to a young man.
